The group insurance plans can include deductibles (excess) to keep your premiums low and minimize the plan administration. If a member leaves the group, many insurers will allow the individual to change to an individual plan and allow all pre-existing conditions coverage to remain the same. This is a significant advantage for the policy holder. Group policies are not country specific so if a member was to relocate to another country the coverage will go with them.
Group plans generally provide better coverage than individual plans. This is because your group policy can include coverage for pre-existing conditions whereas individual policies generally exclude pre-existing conditions.

While here she has been able to get some health checkups from the British midwives, but it has been our concern how long it will last. Question: we are a group of expats living in penang/malaysia who are looking for a health insurance for only malaysia, we have made malaysia our home and have no intention of ever leaving this country, we are therefor permanent residents. our group is getting larger every year. it is of utmost importance to have a good medical health insurance. please give details of the various plans and annual premiums! |
